Here at G & P Engineering, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our exciting and expanding construction biased business, where YOU can help support the FM division as an Carpenter.
Working with a large portfolio of public and private sector clients, G & P Engineering comprises of several divisions including Mechanical & Electrical, Construction, Projects, Reactive, FM, Small Works and other associated trades.
Your responsibilities:
- Respond to reactive calls, carry out first fix where possible and scoping quotes for repair where first fix is not possible, ensuring minimum downtime.
- Carry out all planned maintenance tasks as per program and keep accurate auditable records of works planned and completed.
- To ensure that the site is kept in good order internally and externally - and to give specification and ensure timely completion.
- Working within all Health and Safety criteria and processes relevant to work activities.
- Show a proactive approach to Health & safety in the work environment and take the necessary steps to ensure risks are mitigated.
- Client facing, therefore maintaining high standards of customer care and workmanship
- Be flexible and undertake other reasonable duties to accommodate operational requirements.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works / tasks completed within KPI’s
- Repairs needing immediate action, priced programmed and project work

- NVQ Level 3
- NVQ Level 2 (with substantial experience in a similar role)

Location: Kent.
Working hours: 08:00 – 16:00.
Employment Type: Sub Contractor CIS / PAYE / Ltd.
PAYE: £- 36,000- 48,000 Negotiable depending on experience and trade.
CIS/LTD: £160 - £200 per day.
Job Types: Permanent, Temporary contract, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
