Job description
Call2Care Solutions is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Carer to join our team. As a Senior Carer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care services to our clients, as well as mentoring and supporting our team of Care Assistants.
Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care and support to clients in their own homes, including assistance with washing, dressing, and toileting.
- Administering medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding, as necessary.
- Assisting with mobility and transfers, using manual handling techniques as required.
- Creating care plans and updating them in accordance with the changing needs of our clients.
- Mentoring and supporting our team of Care Assistants, providing guidance and feedback as necessary.
- Liaising with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all care provided, using our electronic care management system.
- Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a care setting, preferably in domiciliary care.
- Experience in mentoring and supporting other care staff.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and caring attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable.
