Position Statement:
The Global Marketing and Loyalty team brings to life the unique promise of Hilton's portfolio of brands by defining, creating, and delivering exceptional multi-channel marketing campaigns designed to drive business results. Loyalty & Co-Brand team is focused on growing customer acquisition and retention through Hilton direct channels such as the Hilton Honors mobile app, Hilton. com website, and reservations agents. In addition, the team generates engagement and repeat business through recognition of loyalty benefits and earned rewards during guest stays.
Hilton currently operates four Co-Brand Credit Card portfolios globally: United States, Japan Germany and United Kingdom, where our co-brand portfolios provide customers with the best way to accelerate Hilton Honors promise and elevate their experience during and beyond their stay Journey. Our co-brand portfolios play a pivotal role in engaging our customers and accelerating affinity for Hilton and Hilton Honors.
Position Summary
As the Director Co-Brand (Europe), you will be responsible for leading the effort around launching and managing our co-brand portfolios in Europe. This leader will lead the strategic development of initiatives to drive growth in accounts, engagement of members, and expansion of partnerships in the region. They will partner with global and regional functional leaders within Hilton to ensure we deliver a customer-led differentiated program. This leader will interface closely and be the primary POC for our regional bank and network partners to build mutually beneficial partnerships and spearhead the efforts to ideate and deliver market-leading long-term growth across all existing and new portfolios in these regions. You will have direct P&L; ownership for the Co-brand Portfolio in Europe.
More specifically, you will:
- Define strategic plans for co-brand credit card growth and engagement in the region, and define execution responsibilities between global and regional teams within Hilton, as well as our co-brand partners.
- Deliver on a multi-year plan for the EMEA region including driving performance in the short, medium and long-term and continually optimize plans to meet the needs of the business.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders internally (including regional commercial leads) to ensure we are delivering an optimal consumer proposition aligned to the Hilton and Hilton Honors customer promise.
- Oversee the regional portfolio efforts across Co-Brand Acquisitions and Customer Retention to identify and deliver against new growth opportunities.
- Lead our market assessment efforts (Partnering with external resources where needed) to identify strategic market opportunities, build internal business cases, and identify bank and network partners aligned to Hilton's strategic objectives
- Serve as Hilton's primary relationship owner for our European Bank and Network partnerships.
- Lead recruitment efforts to hire and onboard teams to manage aspects of our future co-brand portfolio in region, including acquisitions, customer engagement, program operations. Aligning team structure to allow for integration GTM approach in partnership with M&L; functions and COE's
- Own & prioritize the strategic investments and resource allocation to drive exponential, profitable growth in the short and the long term, including investments in product design, value proposition, existing channel optimization, and new channels across the regional portfolio.
- Nurture a test-and-learn culture across acquisition and retention marketing to deliver incremental performance and realize exponential, groundbreaking opportunities in partnership with Network and bank Partner.
- Represent European Co-Brand teams POV within the Global Co-Brand team, partner with cross functional teams, including Marketing, Customer Engagement (CRM), Hilton Honors, Content & Brand Marketing to design and rollout annual regional Co-Brand plans.
- As part of International Co-Brand Leadership team, play a leadership role to build a learning culture that further develops a market-leading global Co-Brand Center of Excellence attracting, retaining, and continuously developing an all-star team.
What are we looking for?
Success will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
- Successful track-record leading and growing a multi-product Co-Brand credit card portfolio.
- Deep understanding of the regional card landscape, bank card economics, regulatory environment and industry norms, value prop development, card acquisition, card member servicing, early tenure card member engagement, card member retention, and card member value.
- Extensive experience creating and maintaining multi-year strategic plans and roadmaps as well as complex business cases. Demonstrated experience managing a business (P&L;) in a large global and matrixed organization.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organisation; this includes written and verbal communications
- Ability to drive progress independently using shared resources and build towards a sustainable business.
- Strong ability to collaborate, influence and lead change across internal and external partner teams.
- Expertise in building, leading and motivating a team.
- Ability to work with internal and external partners to rationalize strategies to achieve mutually beneficial, accretive outcomes for all parties.
- Strategic eye for business with ability to use data and market intelligence to find opportunities and improve performance continuously.
- Demonstratable relationship and business development experience.
- Strong project management experience with the ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for team to fulfill responsibilities, deliver results on time and within scope
- BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
- Significant related professional experience
- Significant experience of Co-Branded credit card leadership including partial or holistic P&L; ownership
- Proven experience of managing / leading teams
- Up to 10% travel (Domestic and International)
