Duties and Responsibilities

  • Medication administration and management in-line with company policy
  • Enabling mobility, including manual handling transfers and exercising
  • To encourage and motivate clients to maintain their independence and personal goals
  • To contact key people including the care manager, doctor’s and other healthcare professionals where required
  • To prepare and cook meals of the clients choice in their own home
  • Undertake domestic tasks including cleaning to maintain a high quality of living
  • Record and document all appropriate information in a timely manner
  • Personal care – i.e. washing, dressing, oral care, hair care, nail care, foot care, eye care. Toileting, assisting with bowel and bladder management, fitting of urinary devices and dealing with incontinence management (in some cases).

Experience

  • Proven personal or professional experience as a caregiver.
  • Ability to engage service users of all ages and respond to patient's needs in a positive manner.
  • Good communication skills and ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
  • Detail oriented with an excellent record of keeping detailed records and documentation on patients.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £650.00-£700.00 per week

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
