Health Care Assistant, Band 2

Opportunity available for a Health Care Assistant to join the team located in Ward 1, Leicester

The team is located in Ward 1 within St. Luke's Hospital which provide an inpatient service. This role predominately will consist of main care duties including hygiene needs, toileting, clinical observations, nutrition and pressure area relief. The role will also include providing support and care for patients with physical health needs within a multidisciplinary setting and will also consist with undertaking assigned tasks under the general supervision of a registered nurse, including assisting in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. As a health care assistant you will be supporting the practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services and delivering care within the practice. Due to the nature of this role you must possess HCA patient care skills and please note Health & Safety risks include exposure to covid infected patients.

The hourly rate for this role is:

Monday to Friday (06:00 - 20:00) - £12.00 Per Hour
Saturday / Nights - £15.00 Per Hour
Sunday / Bank Holidays: £18.00 Per Hour

For this role it is essential that you have the following:

  • Enhanced DBS required
  • System One
  • Smart Card experience
  • Relevant Training

This role is to commence ASAP with shifts being a mix of long days and lates, working 37.5 hours per week. It is essential you have a healthcare qualification with this being a minimum of either a BTEC or NVQ level.
