Hollybank House is a delightful Nursing and Residential care home, set in the beautiful countryside of Oakerthorpe, Derbyshire. The Home is set off the main Chesterfield Road and has good transport links available.

Role: Care Assistant DAYS & NIGHTS (8pm - 2pm, 2pm - 8pm, 8pm - 8am shift patterns)
Bank Contract is also available
Additional shifts may be available.
As a Care Assistant at Hollybank House, you must be a passionate and caring person who is able to deliver high quality person-centred care, promote dignity and independence for all our residents. You must have a sympathetic understanding of the needs of elderly people and their families.
Key Responsibilities:-
- To assist residents who need help with getting up in the morning, dressing up, washing and bathing.
- To help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence; help in the use and care of aids and other equipment.
- To care for residents who are unwell and require assistance with bed care, feeding etc.
- To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through talking to them, undertaking activities and participating in outings.
- To make and change beds, empty and clean commodes and other equipment.
- To assist in the laundering of residents clothing including mending, naming and ensure items are put away tidily.
- To set tables, assist with serving meals, assist feed residents, ensure dining areas are tidy.
- To answer the call systems, doors and greet visitors.
- To read and contribute to the recording of care information, take part in meetings and training as directed.
- To perform other duties as are reasonably required.
- To encourage residents to remain as independent as possible.
