Job description

District Home Care is a privately owned domiciliary agency providing day and night care and live in care services. We are recruiting for full time community based care staff.

Due to our consistent positive client feedback and referrals, we are inundated with requests to support clients living in their own homes within the Woking area.

What we do.

We support our clients in the safest, person-centered way with personal care, assistance with medication, promoting and encouraging independence, whilst respecting their dignity and always maintaining their privacy and wellbeing.

What are we offering?

Full time guaranteed hours starting from 7:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 21:00.

We expect our staff to cover at least two evenings a week and commit to alternative weekends as part of your regular roster.

  • £15.00 per hour full shift compensation

Duties include, but not limited to.

  • Personal care / bathing/ dressing
  • Transfers and hoisting may be required
  • Supporting clients in and out of bed
  • Incontinence/toileting/catheter care
  • Medication support
  • Light meal preparation / serving / feeding
  • Light housework/laundry
  • Companionship/welfare visits

All about you.

  • Reliable and able to commit to a couple of evenings a week and alternative weekends
  • Serious about bringing value as well as being valued as a care assistant
  • Happy to visit clients living in their own homes in and around the Woking area
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Confident making responsible decisions and always working in a person-centered way
  • Excellent can do – will do attitude
  • Excellent hygiene practice and a smart appearance
  • A minimum of one year experience within the adult health & social care sector required
  • Car owner driver essential for this position
