Isn’t changing careers a bit of a risk ?

At Brayleys Cars Limited we understand that changing careers, or perhaps returning to work following a career break, can sometimes seem to be a daunting task. It is important to us that Sales Executives who join us that are new to Automotive Retail, do so with confidence.

How confident should I be that you have confidence in me to perform well as a sales executive?

Our new to Automotive Retail starter package demonstrates how enthusiastic we are about nurturing talented sales executives who are new to our industry. In your first year you will be earning as you are learning. If you are new to our industry we guarantee that you will earn a minimum of £30,000 in your first year with us.

If I’ve never sold cars before, what sort of back-ground would make me a great sales executive?

This is a question we are asked many times. A successful sales executive is someone who loves meeting people, loves helping people make exciting purchases and loves making sure that the experience of making that purchase is truly outstanding. You may have worked in hospitality, you may have worked in another retail role or you may be returning to work following a career break, but if you love meeting people as much as we do, we believe that you’ll fit in really well. All of our new to Automotive Retail sales executives receive a comprehensive suite of training designed to help you become an expert in the role, throughout your first 12 months with us.

If you have the following core skills, becoming a Sales Executive in Automotive Retail may be right up your street.

  • Influencing skills with the ability to nurture and convert enquiries to sales
  • Excellent customer management skills to build long lasting relationships
  • Professionalism, with a commitment to adhering to process and procedure
  • Someone who can demonstrate the Brayleys Company Principal to treat every visitor to Brayleys Cars as we would a welcome guest in our own home.

What does a Sales Executive actual do in Automotive Retail?

All of our Sales Executives represent both Brayleys and one of our 5 vehicle brands. As part of our sales team you will be responsible for handling face to face, phone and email queries and converting these to vehicle, finance, and insurance sales. You will manage the end-to-end customer experience, ensuring options are tailored to customer needs and lifestyle. Day to day, you will:

  • Respond to enquiries from new and existing customers relating to new and used vehicle sales
  • Guide customers through their purchase, providing outstanding customer service as the face of both Brayleys and our partner vehicle brands.
  • Meet individual sales targets by maximising upsell and cross-sell opportunities on finance and insurance products and optional extras

  • Adhere to Brayleys and industry regulations relating to the sale of vehicles, finance, and insurance.
