We're looking for a kind and energetic individual to join our team. The successful candidate should be able to multitask and able to work in a cafe/dessert shop environment.
Shifts: Full time - 40 hours per week
This is a full time role (40hours) during shop operation hours of Monday to Sunday: 3pm to 11pm. Can work 5 days out of 7 and we offer flexibility around other commitments you may have. Rota is made bi-weekly, so you can plan ahead as we understand the importance of work life balance.
It is important that you have previous cafe environment experience and relevant training will be provided to the successful candidate.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure a positive customer experience by greeting and welcoming customers as they arrive.
- Answer questions about menu items and recommend new items.
- Take food orders and prepare desserts according to established policies, recipes, and procedures
- Making sure daily tasks are done and excellent customer service is maintained
- Ensure that the restaurant is kept clean and tidy at all times
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- Hard working and ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to give clear instructions to staff and also take initiative when required
- Willingness to learn
- General understanding of the products
- Must be friendly, driven, customer focused and have a can do attitude with a sense of urgency. We have a really great community and lots of regular customers. Having a bubbly personality and customer care is important.
- Confidence and ability to react to situations and use initiative when required
- Ability to work well individually, take initiative and contribute to a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Availability to work weekends
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £9.80-£10.09 per hour
