We want to see a world in which everyone has access to equitable, trustworthy, and accurate information.
We support and advance mission-driven journalism by fostering new, forward-looking concepts and identifying sustainable financial models for journalism. We are creating a healthier, more sustainable media ecosystem for better informed global audiences who are empowered to take action for the benefit of all people, communities and the planet.
Syli is looking for an Impact Manager to design monitoring and evaluation frameworks and mechanisms for climate change reporting, including impact research and measurement for climateXchange, our flagship initiative. This role requires thought leadership and implementation to research and benchmark climate reporting across regional newsrooms and produce regular impact reporting. Ongoing tracking and analysis for programme optimisation and development is also required.
The position is for an immediate start and is a remote role. This position is offered either as a full time staff position in the UK (candidates must already have the right to work in the UK), or as a self-employed role if outside the UK. Self-employed candidates must have the right to work in the country they are applying from and deliver work under the relevant self-employment laws in their location. You will need to ensure you have access to a suitable professional and confidential environment with a reliable internet connection to carry out your duties. Some travel may be required.
The position is full time over Monday to Friday within our core UK business hours, with some flexibility required. This is a fixed term contract ending 31st March 2024. However, pending securing the required funding, we intend for this to become longer term.
The pay for this role is £58,000 per year.
Note: For international applicants, we use a location multiplier tool to help us work out a fair rate taking into account factors such as the local job market, relevant experiences, and parity across our team.
