CAFÉ MANAGER
Responsible to: Head of Operations
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary band c. £30,000 – £32,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: Glasgow, Buchanan Galleries

Social Bite is a sandwich shop with a difference. Every day we provide free food to over 150 people from the homeless community in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. We work to end people’s isolation and exclusion by helping them overcome barriers.
We are looking for a special someone to run our new look flagship coffee shop in Buchanan Galleries. This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager to join us at a pivotal moment in the project of opening up our new Glasgow location!
You will come with experience in managing small coffee shops, restaurants, cafes, or catering operations and a desire to join our collaborative movement to end homelessness.
You will have autonomy over the day to day running of our store with all the responsibility that comes with that. You will be one of a small network of stores who support each other.
We need you to be:
· Customer focussed with an eye for detail
· Good with numbers – stock control, financial reporting, temperature checks the lot!
· An inspiring leader with great ideas
· A people person who loves to see your team develop and also can have the tough conversations
· Passionate with a drive to see your store succeed
· A great communicator who works well with both store teams and volunteers
We would like you to have experience:
· As manager or assistant manager of a similar operation
· In all aspects of retail Food service including merchandising and sales
· In H&S in a Food environment
· In retail food controls i.e. stock, costs, scheduling, banking
