About the Role:
The role exists to collaborate with key business stakeholders and suppliers, to proactively manage commercial procurement aspects of raw material and packaging sourcing and supply; ensure best practice purchasing in a professional manner to achieve the businesses targets.
Key Tasks:
- Lead and manage a defined range of goods and suppliers in the Directs category, analysing spend and market data to identify cost saving opportunities and act as an escalation point for supplier supply or performance issues.
- Coordination, support, and full engagement in the sourcing, set up relationships involved in the purchasing of Direct items for manufacturing- Pharmaceutical, OTC, Consumer Healthcare and Household products.
- Supporting and aligning with the STADA Global teams
- Working closely with local colleagues in Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Regulatory and MS&T teams to support operational activity as and where required
- Support business New Product Introduction process
- Support the business in compliance related to packaging/raw material purchases (Packaging Waste Obligations, Plastics tax).
- Preparation, conducting and managing negotiations with potential and incumbent suppliers
- Ensuring all key suppliers have robust supply agreements in place where appropriate to protect both supply security and cost exposure
- Ensure that contracts are awarded based on STADA procurement best practices
- Produce regular spend analysis reports as required by the business as well as a monthly departmental report which monitors procurement KPI's.
- Implement procurement strategies and improvements which will generate value for the company.
- Evaluate suppliers from a GMP perspective where applicable
- Understand impact of change to products, impact to supply chain and commercial opportunities or risks.
- Ensure that purchasing information and supplier data is kept up to date in order to maintain procurement efficiencies.
- Ensure that Procurement to Pay Information is kept up to date and all systems (SAP, Ariba) are updated to ensure smooth Invoice Processing.
- Identify and deliver cost & risk reduction initiatives and business cases
- To carry out any other work that may be reasonably requested.
- Key supplier relationship manager for T&R
- Setting up and maintaining a supplier evaluation and monitoring model
- Submitting regular reports about different projects to Site and Global leadership team

experience working in a Buyers role in a fast-paced environment.
You must have knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and working to tight deadlines.
A highly organised individual you will be comfortable liaising with teams cross functionally across the business.
You must have strong communication skills with the confidence and ability to maximise cost savings with suppliers.
Strong Excel skills would be beneficial.
