Elevation are delighted to be working with an innovative manufacturing business in Sheffield, who are at the forefront of their field of excellence.
This exciting Buyer position is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has 3+ years experience focussing on the strategic side of procurement to join this growing engineering business in Sheffield. You will get regular, in-person interaction with global Executives, delivering progress updates and suggesting creative solutions to supplier issues.
This is a HYRBID role, with 2 days from home paying the £40,000 - £45,000 level.

- Be a crucial, hands-on member of the Procurement team, with responsibility for assessing the positives and risks of current and future Supplier base
- To establish frameworks for new and existing suppliers
- To negotiate new terms with suppliers, ensuring highest price and service
- Set SLAs/KPIs, assess supplier performance and behaviour against framework
- Responsibility for the selection and de-selection of current suppliers, based on framework behaviour
- Work with material planning team to track movement of material, aiding volume and replenishment of stock levels
- Supporting Operational stakeholders with NPD ensuring product Quality and legal compliance
Ideal candidate:
- Must be a confident individual with prior experience in a full Buying/Purchasing role
- Manufacturing experience essential
- Proven experience in onboarding and negotiating Supplier contracts and measuring against Framework KPIs
- Must be able to be on site 3-4 days per week in Sheffield
- Proven understanding of the full Supply Chain including material movement and OTIF
- CIPS or equivalent Degree qualified, or qualifying towards CIPS highly desirable. Study support is offered for anyone wanting to start or complete CIPS
