Corporate & Institutional Coverage ('CIC') is the client coverage business within Commercial and Institutional Banking ('CIB') operating across the UK and North America and looks after the overall management of businesses whose annual turnover exceeds £100m. CIC consists of many different sector Teams.
The Insurance team is one of the leading providers of commercial banking products to the global insurance sector. Our team, operating in London and New York, holds extensive relationships with the senior management teams of insurers and insurance brokers across the UK, Europe, Bermuda and North America.
Our team is multi-disciplined, with our clients using the full suite of commercial banking products ranging from complex loan financings and Debt Capital Markets issuances to letters of credit and hedging. We seek to support our team members and offer opportunities for all colleagues to develop.
The Insurance team is an important part of LBG's offering to the broader Financial Services sector and a key contributor to the Corporate & Institutional Coverage business.
We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Associate to join our team. You'll provide comprehensive support to Relationship Managers to optimise the client experience. You'll work in partnership with the Relationship Managers on a range of critical client management activities and develop strong internal networks.
Your role and responsibilities will include:
  • Support client enquiries across a wide range of areas, working collaboratively with RMs and internal delivery functions to provide best in class client servicing.
  • Manage NTB KYC & trigger cases across all products.
  • Promote the team franchise with internal and external partners, collaborating closely with product and delivery to maximise impact and opportunities.
  • Management of the relationship portfolio, record maintenance, client moves and relationship exits.
  • Working with the RM’s on product initiatives with the aim to help generate new prospects and income.
  • Strong team player willing and able to take the broader view for the benefit of the wider CB and team franchise, using influence to achieve efficient outcomes for the team and our clients.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across different audiences and cultural environments.
  • Manage key Credit, Operational and other risks associated with the portfolio, including excesses and payment referrals.
  • Support the client interface on behalf of the Group to ensure operational improvement and that enquiries and issues are satisfactorily resolved.
Essential Skills:
  • Knowledge of the key product suite that Lloyds can offer both from Lloyds Bank and Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets, relevant for our client base.
  • Strong work ethic, motivation, detail orientated and a passion for excellence
  • Effective written and verbal communication.

Desirable skills:
  • Knowledge of internal bank systems (Common, ICRS, Crisp, Com-CMD) would be advantageous.
