These range from parks and open spaces to Public Health; Adult Services/Special Educational Needs and our highways, and so many others. The Business Support Service are therefore delighted to be recruiting to a Business Support Assistant. A successful candidate will join us to reach shared goals and have a positive can-do attitude and will be open to trying new things. The role will require working with a number of services, working collaboratively as part of a centralised service which provides support to a wide range of different departments across the council.
BST1 - We are a team of 21 people responsible for supporting Adult Social Care and SEN services. For Adult Care Services we manage referrals coming in with regards to Safeguarding and Vulnerable Adults, recording information on a data base, sending out letters to name just a few tasks.
We provide support to the SEN (Special Educational Needs) team, managing a shared email inbox, processing new requests for EHCP’s (Education, Health & Care Plans), logging annual reviews and contributions. We also provide support in recording Tribunal & Mediation cases. The work is varied and busy and is time critical in nature due to the statutory nature of the tasks.
Main tasks include data entry recording referrals onto a database, including creating new records and updating records sending out letters, data cleansing etc.
You will enjoy working creatively to support more efficient ways of working on each task and together as a team which will require good communication skills with your colleagues, and other stakeholders. You will have a working knowledge of using Microsoft tools, including shared calendar, and be willing to learn new systems and processes quickly.
