Role Overview

The Business Development Manager position is a key role operating within the UK - One of our largest commercial priority regional markets at Bupa Global; with responsibility for driving considerable new business growth within the Individual customer space amongst managing top tier brokers and seeking new brokers and distribution arrangements.

What you’ll do:

  • To develop new and stronger business relationships with a defined number of key intermediaries
  • To manage the renewal of all existing business held within the applicable broker panel
  • Achieve all sales, retention, revenue and profit targets
  • To report clear & accurate pipeline data and forecasting
  • To build and consistently deliver a strong sales presentation deck
  • To build strong robust broker development plans and identify commercial opportunity for Bupa Global
  • To work extensively with wider Bupa Group colleagues to leverage One Bupa opportunity

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience of both intermediary distribution and within the healthcare space is essential. IPMI experience would be a distinct and welcome bonus, but is not a pre-requisite
  • Experience in consultative selling, seeking and driving new distribution opportunities, as opposed to transactional. This is a key differentiator
  • A dynamic, credible and articulate presenter
  • An auditable track record of Consumer and/or SME/corporate new business success over a period of at least 3 years
  • A demonstrable strong interest in the area of international business
