Junior Business Analyst Placement Opportunity

Are you looking to start a career as a Business Analyst (BA) and need tailored recruitment support and the right qualifications to secure your career? We specialise in placing candidates in the business analysis, change management and project management sectors that have qualified through our business analysis study and placement program. Please note we will be looking to place you in an entry level role so this programme is not aimed at existing Business Analysts.

As a Junior Business Analyst, you will be an integral part of our Community and you will assist in the analysis and improvement of business processes, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and cost savings, and supporting the development of strategic initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity for personal and professional growth while learning and growing alongside experienced professionals in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Gather, interpret, and analyze data from various sources to provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Business Process Evaluation: Evaluate current business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement and efficiency enhancements.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements for projects and initiatives.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed business requirement documents, process flowcharts, and other relevant documentation to ensure clear communication and understanding.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to convey key findings and recommendations to management and team members.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct testing and validation to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and are free of defects.
  • Project Support: Assist in project management tasks, including project planning, tracking, and monitoring of deliverables.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, such as IT, finance, and marketing, to understand their needs and align business processes accordingly.
  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to contribute innovative ideas to the team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance business processes and contribute to the implementation of improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis tools is preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and precision in documentation and analysis.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently when required.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Curiosity and Learning Orientation: Enthusiasm for learning and staying abreast of industry trends and developments.
  • Problem-solving Mindset: Demonstrated ability to approach challenges with creativity and a solution-oriented mindset.

Preferred (but not required) Skills:

  • Basic understanding of business analysis methodologies and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of SQL or other database querying languages.
  • Previous internship or work experience in a related field would be a plus.

Requirement:

  • You will be enrolled in a training program that includes the most relevant industry-recognized courses, (similar to the BCS Business Analysis Foundation Course).
  • Once you successfully pass the BCS Business Analysis Foundation exams, our recruitment team will take over, working with you to identify the best opportunities available suited to you.
