Core Responsibilities

Using multiple data sources and platforms (Adobe Analytics, Big Data Platform, Tableau) to create powerful dashboards and reports to inform digital media decisions. Identify & present concrete findings to optimize our spend & focus to optimize traffic in support of our yearly marketing calendar and key business events.

  • Partner with our Digital Marketing team to forecast weekly traffic (to meet sales targets) & work collaboratively to drive the right, most cost-effective traffic to the site. Ongoing follow-up & improvements based on learning.

  • Build and maintain key dashboards within Adobe Analytics & Tableau to allow stakeholders to follow and understand performance

  • Perform analysis to understand spend & performance for different shopper segments, and across shopper journeys (e.g. Multi Attribution models)

  • Identify ingestion opportunities for the Big Data Platform to create a more comprehensive set of data sources, working alongside Business Intelligence and digital product teams to prioritize the requirements

  • Utilise all available tools to proactively identify data-driven opportunities for improvement, e.g. considering customer lifetime value optimization.

  • Develop site performance dashboards for significant marketing events, e.g. May the 4th or Black Friday/Cyber Monday, using owned and 3rd party data sources to plan & follow performance down to an hourly view

  • Perform regular audits across sites and campaigns to ensure adherence to tagging and tracking standards

  • Build out regular business overview presentations which give insights in relation to E-Com business performance and its shopper base

As a part of the LEGO Retail organization, the Global E-Commerce team drives the development of LEGO.com and digital shopper channels across regions and plays a pivotal role in the LEGO Group's commercial strategy.
How we use data in the LEGO.com team is changing in light of the new cookie guidelines; no longer can we rely solely on web analytics – we need to broaden our data sets. This role will play a key part in defining and delivering how we now need to use data to support the continued growth of the LEGO.com flagship experience.

Working alongside the key data owners in LEGO, supported by a key data strategy, this role will look more broadly than web analytics and drive forward how we pull in multiple data sources to continue to make data-driven decisions. This role will play a critical part in the shift to a more holistic set of data sources and a focus towards actionable data-driven insights that drive business performance.


Do you have what it takes?

  • Experience working with digital media insights/optimisation

  • Experience in insights and analytics (with experience in Adobe Analytics or similar, Tableau dashboards, SQL-based databases and curating data views)

  • Medium/advanced SQL skills and experience working with big data platforms

  • Experience with data modelling, e.g. segmentation analysis, MTA-models, CLV- models etc.

  • Understanding of digital A/B testing and personalization

  • Ability to put together clear and concise insights from multiple data sources to answer business questions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to and engaging colleagues, including the development of cases/investment models for internal agreement

  • Passion for developing a deep understanding of user needs throughout the shopping journey and enthusiasm for exceeding shopper expectations

  • An enthusiastic, positive approach and determination to overcome obstacles; can-do attitude, results orientation with a focus on quality, efficiency and operational excellence

  • Open, collaborative communication style, with experience working across cultures and time zones to build connected, sustainable relationships regardless of organizational structure

  • Enthusiasm for using data to solve complex business problems
