I live with 7 other unique individuals, each of us have different support needs. I am 34 year old lady with a great sense of humour and I have an amazing smile. Although I am unable to communicate verbally, I can express my wishes through facial expression, eye contact and my body language. If you offer me choices, I can turn my head towards the choice that I would like and smile and laugh.
Activities that I enjoy include trampolining, multi sports, parties, attending clubs and music sessions but I also enjoy more relaxed activities such as walks in the local park in my wheelchair, hand and feet massages, being read to, manicures and pedicures, intensive 1:1 sessions with staff and swimming at the hydrotherapy pool. There are times that I am content to sit in my wheelchair and observe everything…. I like to know what’s going on…….
Applicants should be able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and sleep ins, and should be enthusiastic about supporting our residents in a person-centred way. An enhanced disclosure (DBS) is required for all roles, the Trust will meet the cost of this.
Come and join my team…. we are so much fun!!!!
