Company Description

Take a seat on the Xplor rocket ship and join us as a Business Analyst! Are you a team-player, motivated to make a difference, and looking for your next exciting career move? We are a global provider of gym management software, dedicated to our vision of motivating, educating and inspiring individuals to a healthier lifestyle through the use of our ‘member-centric’ fitness software, and are looking to increase our team due to our continued global expansion.

Job Description

This role is directly aligned with our driving ethos: fanatically helping the fitness industry smash their goals. You will be working as part of a multi-discipline team to articulate and document business requirements that developers can take away as problems to solve. It is essential that you build and maintain a full and complete understanding of our core business systems, and employ relevant techniques to formalise concise and effective requirements and manage their end-to-end delivery.

Below are the key responsibilities for the role:

  • Creating Business Cases
  • Planning and monitoring the sprints
  • Eliciting requirements
  • Researching and analysing customer’s needs
  • Working with the current BA’s and Product Managers

Qualifications
  • Experience working on highly developed business critical systems
  • Systems analysis experience, preferably with a background in computer science or a different technical subject
  • Good understanding of BPMN and UML and the ability to express requirements visually in a way that’s suitable for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Comfortable working in an agile team environment
  • Good knowledge about systems development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Used to a fast paced and dynamic working environment
  • Strong elicitation skills. You enjoy running workshops with clients and digging deeper into the why behind requirements.
  • Experience with requirement validation based on mock ups.
  • Experience of working with a UX specialist and an appreciation for the role of UX in the success of a product
  • Ability to balance the business perspective against the user perspective.
  • Ability to keep the conversation in the problem space (and out of the solution space) long enough to create a strong business case for each high level requirement
  • Ability to ruthlessly prioritise requirements based on user value and business value
  • Jira/Confluence experience is preferred
  • Good attention to details. You research your tasks thoroughly and ensure that the documentation leaves nothing to be misunderstood.
  • Excellent communication skills. You can listen to what’s important to the business and then translate this into clear and concise documentation that developers can understand.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people based remotely and in different time zones
