Fibre Only. Wholesale Only. Gigabit Capable.
As an Installation Engineer, you will deploy fibre installation services within our customer premises, providing a best-in-class quality of service for our residential and business customers.
Reporting directly to the Installation Manager, supporting the Head of Service Delivery and delivering our business vision by delivering a friendly, personable service, breaking the mould of the telecom industry’s notoriously poor customer experience.
We’re looking for someone who can….
- Install fibre into our customer premises, business and residential, including splicing
- Assist the support team with troubleshooting techniques and queries
- Liaise by phone with the Head office team to organise pre-installations, installations and arrange service calls
The right person will…
- Have fibre installation/splicing skills and experience
- Has a good understanding of fibre terminology and is able to communicate this effectively to customers as well as colleagues within the business
- Be well-presented and able to demonstrate a professional image as the face of the business
- Be able to demonstrate empathy with customers and colleagues - Personable and friendly
- Be proactive and efficient, and willing to go the extra mile for customers
- Have the willingness to work in all climates
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- None required as full training and certifications can be provided
- PIA experience desirable but not essential
- Previous experience working at height from a ladder and cabling from up to 11m telegraph poles, preferably with a valid SWAH Level 3 certificate
- Experience in lone working and health and safety requirements that are specific to working at height
- Practical experience in a customer-facing role
- Have a current clean driving license with a willingness to travel and clear DBS certificate within the last 2 years
