The Hills Group are recruiting a Business Analyst, to work at our Head Office in Swindon.
This will be a full time, permanent role within our IT Team, reporting to the IT Project Delivery Manager.

The Role:
The Business Analyst will provide support and delivery of IT services to the user community whilst working as part of a team and driving forward with the delivery of the Board approved Transformation Programme and its associated projects. The role provides an excellent opportunity to drive change and instil efficient operational processes and governance in business analysis methodologies and techniques to maximise the success and benefits of the projects undertaken. You will work closely and in collaboration with business stakeholders, users, and external suppliers, to support the company’s technology services. A key focus of the role will be on supporting the user base in the transformation journey by understanding their needs, value and ways in which processes can be adapted and technology utilised to drive business value.
As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in understanding, capturing, and translating business needs into appropriate solutions and processes.
You will be working in a dynamic business and technical environment. You will be exposed to various new technologies to deliver on the automation of manual processes and introduction to the business of systems, applications, and collaboration tools.
You will be the key interface between business needs and technical solutions, helping to capture business requirements and translating these into operational systems, tools, and processes to effectively support the business operations and the services it delivers. The role will work across all stakeholder groups, third-party service providers and the IT function to provide technical and process changes that support the business strategy, meeting business requirements and embedding these into everyday business operations.
Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or business preferable
  • BCS (previously ISEB) diploma in Business Analysis or IIBA CCBA or CBAP
  • Proficiency with SQL language and database management
  • Proven analytical abilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Practical experience generating process documentation, translation to technical requirements and reports
  • Experience of running functional testing against business requirements and the support of users through User Acceptance Testing
  • Keen eye for detail, capturing defects and issues and managing these through to resolution
  • Experience in data cleansing, master data definition, setup and migration processes
  • An expert communicator, you listen carefully and use positive language to clearly present information, ideas and views, verbally, in writing and by using technology.
  • You work effectively with others by being co-operative, inclusive, supportive and understanding towards your colleagues and other stakeholders.
