The Digital Business Analyst will support the electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA) programme which will make the prescribing, dispensing and administration of medicines everywhere in Wales, easier, safer, more efficient, and effective, through digital.
THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING

The Digital Business Analyst will be a pivotal role within the Digital
Transformation and Informatics directorate in supporting the delivery of
continuous improvement and efficiencies throughout Powys Teaching Health Board. The post holder will work proactively across the organisation to champion the promotion and establishment of a number of assignments
simultaneously which will vary in scale and complexity.
The focus of the Digital Business Analyst function is to clearly elicit, define and document stakeholder requirements and benefits realisation. However, this is a 'full-lifecycle' role with possible involvement from business case development to operational review, via requirements, design, development, test, implementation, and integration with any other national applications.
As the Digital Business Analyst, the post holder will work largely
autonomously under the direction of the IT Service Delivery Manager, working within agreed policies and frameworks.

Powys Teaching Health Board is responsible for meeting the health and wellbeing needs of the people of Powys, mid Wales. As a rural health board with around 133,000 people living across an area that is a quarter of Wales, we provide as many services as possible locally. This is mainly through GPs and other primary care services, community hospitals and community services.
As we don’t have a District General Hospital, we work closely with other organisations in Wales and England to provide services for the people of Powys. We always strive to deliver as many services in Powys as possible including assessment and follow ups after treatment. The health board also works closely with Powys County Council and the voluntary sector to meet the needs of the community.
