You might be working with the technology and data that po wer our city within a city, driving vital commercial agreements with everyone from retailers to airlines, o r improving th e unique infrastructure that includes everything from 200 buildings to 250 HV su bstations . You will be identifying gaps and opportunities, and working closely with stakeholders to develop solutions that align with our digital aspirations. You’ll also be responsible for translating technical requirements into non-technical language that the team can understand, ensuring that everyone is on the same page.

Acting as the bridge between the technical and non-technical teams, you will be ensuring that both sides are on the same page and working towards a common goal. You will guide the team to stay ahead of the curve identifying opportunities for innovation and helping our stakeholders harness the benefits of digital products to improve services.


  • Accountability for delivering business-critical applications vital for the efficient running of operations.
  • Ensuring the digital products meet the diverse functional needs of all the airport stakeholders and meet the high standards we expect regarding resilience and cyber security.
  • Developing a full appreciation of the business drivers and scoping pragmatic solutions to satisfy those needs and deliver the associated benefits.
  • Establishing credibility at all levels to influence decision-making in developing solutions.
  • Working with the Heads of Technology, Senior Delivery Leads and Delivery Leads to ensure the team deliver technology solutions. This will involve pre-project shaping, operating model definition and project scope management.
  • Ensuring the quality of requirements and management practices implemented by programmes ensures cost-effective delivery of quality systems that will enable transformational change.

  • Take ownership for the identification, refinement, and articulation of the stakeholder’s solution requirements (in the form of high-quality user stories and epics) to the wider product team, ensuring absolute clarity for the developers and the wider business.
  • A work history using a wide variety of business analysis techniques and tools to successfully elicit and then document requirements, while ensuring traceability of requirements from ‘as-is’ through to ‘to-be’ states.
  • Evidence of the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and identify their business opportunities to drive out root requirements and shape feasible, pragmatic technology solutions.
  • Be able to influence decision-making to ensure high standards, resilience, and cyber security are upheld whilst developing robust requirements for the business.
  • Azure Dev Ops Board, JIRA, Confluence or equivalent for tracking user stories, issues, and tasks.
  • Good working knowledge of Agile and Scrum, with a proven background in performing business analysis activities in a scalable Agile environment or other formal methodologies.

Working Location

Our agile approach offers the opportunity to combine home working with meetings, events and training at the airport. All roles involve some on-site working each week, so you’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
