Responsibilities
- Obtain knowledge on the tax treatment of S Corporations, Partnerships, and Individuals
- Prepare and file tax returns, extensions, and quarterly tax payments for the applicable groups above using Thomson Reuters OneSource and CCH Axcess software
- Maintain tax department data storage & retrieval systems
- Draft responses to federal, state, and local tax inquiries and audit requests as needed
- Participation in special projects and presentations as needed
- Bring forth ideas to improve processes and materials
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on accounting
- Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Strong sense of personal responsibility for tasks assigned
- Ability to work with others and accept direction
- Ability to function effectively in Microsoft Excel & Outlook, and to learn tax preparation software
- Propensity to identify, analyze, and solve problems
- Proficiency in tasks that require a high level of attention to detail and organization
