Position Overview

This position reports directly to the VP Finance and will require interaction with all levels of operations and management. It is ideally suited for a recent Data Science/Analytics graduate that is looking to develop analytical skills directly related to operations.

You will take raw information, align it with senior management needs and assist in defining processes that enable robust business solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data research using existing information, interviews, site visits to understand existing processes
  • Conduct analyses to develop data and reports that can be updated and modeled by management
  • Work with senior-level management to process and compare data sets from various sources to formulate KPI’s
  • Assist management in producing a dashboard highlighting KPI’s that can be readily used for business requirements and decisions
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and monitoring data quality metrics
  • Work with supervisors to ensure data quality is maintained
  • Build data models and assist in the input clarification and output requirements where they apply to operations and finance
  • Aid in the design, setup and testing of business results reports and flowchart processes that clearly define business processes
  • Identify opportunities for business improvements using operations derived data sets

Qualifications and skills

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in business/commerce, finance or accounting
  • High level of Excel data manipulation skills using a variety of information sources
  • Microsoft Power BI experience an asset
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
