£40,000 - £45,000 plus excellent benefits

The Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting an experienced Business Analyst to support the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) on a range of projects focused on improving student progression and retention linked to the strategic plan. The first project will be to implement a robust and effective ‘cradle to grave’ curriculum management process to ensure that new programmes are delivered at the right quality and on time.
The successful candidate will provide the Business Analysis to build a process that will give visibility to the Portfolio Management Group on the status of new and existing programmes. They will work alongside a Project Manager, the Module Development team, Academics and others in the newly formed Portfolio Management unit. The role will report to the Strategic Project Manager within the Project Management Office (PMO) and will have support from the wider PMO in carrying out their activities.
This role will be responsible for liaising with key stakeholders across the University to identify business needs and translate these into requirement specifications. The role will lead on identifying and documenting process improvements and opportunities for new solutions that solve business problems for the academic team, providing accurate and relevant information to decision makers.
About You:
You will be an enthusiastic ‘people’ person, able to build rapport quickly at all levels with a proven successful track record as a Business Analyst within a complex organisation. Ideally with exposure of a Higher Education environment too, you will bring your knowledge and expertise of different business analysis methodologies and techniques. Able to demonstrate extensive experience working on projects involving applications, data and digital technologies so apt at being the liaison between IT and other business departments. A natural problem solver and be able to think outside of the box to find creative solutions for your work, which impacts a number of essential departments in the University.
