Bus Mechanic/PSV Mechanic/Bus Engineer - Park Royal - Immediate Start

As a Bus Mechanic you’ll join a fun and warm team that takes pride in diagnostics & repair, servicing and maintaining our buses ready and running for the next morning.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of automotive systems and components, as well as experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues. The successful candidate will be able to use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems, perform routine maintenance, and repair vehicles in a timely manner. The Mechanic will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Servicing, maintenance, inspection and repairs to company and DVSA standards
- Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
- MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks
- Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Standards (Higher than DVSA)
- Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
- Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair
- Basic use of diagnostic equipment
- Notifying manager of any additional faults and repairs that are required
- Reporting any technical issues that arise to the Technical Manager
- Attending internal and external training courses where required
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 (Qualification or equivalent)
- Sound mechanical knowledge of PCV requirements
- Experience of the London Transport environment or heavy Vehicles. (Car mechanics may be accepted with exceptions depending on qualifications)
- Technically adept.
- Able to pass a PCV pre employment medical
- Great if you hold a full PCV licence but not a must.
