Job description
We are a rapidly growing hotel company based in London and we are looking for a skilled bookkeeper to join our team. As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded. You will also be responsible for assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the hotel company
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare financial reports for management
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws
- Work with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge of Xero or other accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Hospitality industry experience is a plus
