Job description
We are a long-established firm of Chartered Accountants who seek a part-time experienced Bookkeeper to join our expanding Bookkeeping Bureau and manage day to day processing requirements for a portfolio of small business clients.
We offer 'outsourced’ bookkeeping services to a diverse range of business, both in size and trade types, using a range of cloud-based software such as SAGE, QuickBooks, Xero and others.
Our office is based in central Macclesfield and we provide this service in house or on site at the client’s premises in the locality.
Standard competences and experience in bank reconciliations, ledger and control accounts, VAT returns, trial balances and journals etc would be a pre-requisite. Knowledge of preparing management accounts, accruals, prepayments, depreciation etc would be an advantage.
We have a separate Payroll bureau so a detailed knowledge of PAYE and wage preparation is not required but nevertheless this skill would obviously be an advantage.
The position on offer is part-time but would need to be a minimum of 20 hours per week.
This is a permanent position, and we offer a competitive salary package which includes a minimum of 23 days holiday plus statutory holiday (or FTE) increasing with experience and the opportunity for career development.
