JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a motivated research associate to join our human antibody isolation team, which contributed to the development of Regeneron’s Sars-Cov2 antibody cocktail (REGEN-COV). You will play an integral part in the identification of antibodies to treat diseases with unmet medical needs. The primary functions of this position are the isolation of monoclonal antibodies from human donors against diverse disease targets (eg. infections, immune disorders, etc) and the development of new antibody isolation technologies. Some experiments will require mice work such as organ harvesting and dissection. We are looking for a team player who is experienced with cell culture, is eager to learn and who will utilize cutting edge techniques for the development of the next generation of therapeutic antibodies.
As an Associate Scientist, a typical day may include:
Isolating PBMCs from human peripheral blood.
Performing cell enrichment, cell culture, antibody staining and phenotypic characterization.
Independently designing, conducting, and analyzing multicolor flow-cytometry experiments .
Harvesting mouse spleen, lymph nodes and/or bone marrow.
Optimizing and carrying out functional assays such as ELISA.
Performing molecular biology experiments, including DNA/RNA purification, RT-PCR and molecular cloning.
Analyzing and presenting data in a team-based setting.
Maintaining complete, accurate, and timely records of experiments and data analysis.
Contributing to lab equipment maintenance and ordering supplies/reagents to help create a safe, effective, and efficient working environment.

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of MS or BS+2 years of experience in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline. Level will be commensurate with experience. We are looking for someone with hands-on technical experience in cell culture and/or PBMC isolation who is comfortable handling mice. Knowledge of flow cytometry is highly desired, but training can be provided if necessary. Experience with functional assays (ELISA, ELISPOT), molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA/qRT-PCR, cloning) is a plus.
