Team Overview:
The European Research & Strategy Team’s broad responsibilities include analyzing and providing forward-looking views on how European economies and real estate markets are expected to perform in the short, medium and long term. As our multidisciplinary team is involved in many aspects of LaSalle’s business activity, key contacts for this role are in Acquisitions, Asset Management, Fund Management and Investor Relations. The European Research & Strategy Team is also part of a wider Global Team, consisting of 30+ colleagues across the world, with whom we undertake regular projects. We are looking for someone with plenty of energy, good communication and strong technical skills.

Role and Accountabilities:
The European Research and Strategy Team is recruiting for a Summer Intern. The successful candidate will be responsible for progressing the Team’s highest-priority projects and will have the opportunity to be instrumental in driving change. As part of the team, the role will support the formulation of investment strategies, underwriting of acquisitions and client reporting. The successful candidate will have an inquisitive nature and an aptitude for researching new topics, their projects will provide insight across the firm and will help shape company-wide views on potential investment markets and property sectors. The primary duties and responsibilities are:
Taking the lead on developing enhancements to our flagship research outputs.

Researching emerging property types to enhance company-wide knowledge of new sectors.

Data gathering, groundwork and analysis for real estate acquisitions (including macro, local economic and real estate data) and various related projects (fundamentals research).

Supporting the Research & Strategy team members by providing market intelligence and preparing materials for annual find strategic plans and client presentations.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
Studying towards an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in economics, finance, geography or other relevant courses.

Proficient in working with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to demonstrate an exceptionally high level of organization and attention to detail.

Naturally inquisitive, with the ability to analyze situations and recommend sound solutions.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
Data visualization experience.

Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.

Experience in GIS and spatial data analysis/visualization.

Adaptable team player with the ability to operate autonomously when needed.

Able to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritise as required to meet expectations.

Economics / finance / investment / real estate knowledge is not a prerequisite for this role, but an interest in these areas is crucial.
