Job description
Ten Fifty is the Cathedral's takeaway coffee van situated on the West Front in summer, the Nave in winter and at our Christmas Market in November and December. We are looking to recruit four new team members either permanent or temporary part time. So if you are enthusiastic, reliable, friendly and outgoing and know how to make the best coffee why not come and join our team.
This is a varied role and will include
- Setting up the van in the morning making sure it is fully stocked, or closing down in the evening ensuring it is ready for the next day. Keeping the van stocked throughout the day
- Welcoming every customer in a positive and enthusiastic manner
- Making a variety of hot drinks; coffees, teas, hot chocolate etc.
- Keeping the van, tables and wider area clean and well presented at all times
- Be positive, enthusiastic, committed and flexible towards customers and other team members, recognising the importance and benefits of effective team working
Ideally, you will be an experienced Barista, but we are happy to train the right person, and hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, if not then be prepared to take the course before you start.
We need four team members working approx. 16 hours a week on a rota; this includes weekends and bank holidays. Additional hours will be available to cover holidays and evening opening.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 12 per week
Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour
