Family Aide Worker

37.5 or 22.5 hours per week
£21,255 - £22,802 FTE (Pro rata 30 hours)

This is an exciting new opportunity that will be delivered by an existing VCS Families First/Intensive Youth Supportpartnershipin Bradford working in collaboration with Local Authority Family Hubs.
Job Purpose:
The Service will provide ‘hands on support’ to families who already have an identified Lead Practitioner. The Family Aide Workers (FAW) will complete targeted pieces of work that are detailed within an Early Help plan informed by a Family Assessment. Lead Practitioners you will be working alongside will come from a variety of agencies, including Schools, Health Visitors, Voluntary and Community services; Policing teams and School Nurses.
The post holder will be expected to engage with families, professionals and local voluntary services in planning for the safe care of children through home visits to meet family members to discuss social care concerns for children and how these can be resolved. The post involves direct work with families and children in their own homes and communities, this may at times include unsocial hours e.g. support with the school run or evening/bedtime routines.
