Below Stairs is a table-service cocktail bar, serving high-end cocktails alongside 6 draught beer lines and a small but delicious wine list.

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service, which is reflected in our online reviews. We develop a new cocktail menu every year and try to be at the sharp end of developments in the cocktail world.

Job description

Position: Bar Staff

Hours: Full Time/Part Time

Rate: £9.80/hr during trial period, rising to £10.50-£11.00 per hour. Salary Negotiable depending on experience and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Working with our small passionate team to provide exceptional customer service to our guests.

Welcoming, seating and serving drinks to the guests.

Taking payments.

Maintaining the bars cosy, clean, environment.

Supporting the bartenders, bar back and other floor staff.

Preparation and service of cocktails, beers and wines.

This role does have potential for progression in to management, depending on experience. Management roles may include:

  • Supervising Shifts.
  • Performing inventory and placing orders whilst adhering to budget.
  • Ensuring the business sticks to it's GP goals.
  • Organising ROTAs whilst adhering to budget.
  • Helping with development of new menus.
  • Performing EODs.
  • Reporting to senior management team.

Qualifications/Experience:

Cocktail Bartending experience is important for this role, as is the ability to work well in a close-knit team. If you also have experience working in table-service venues this would be a plus. Training can be provided for the management roles, but previous experience is welcome.
