Bournemouth International Airport are currently looking for an Air Traffic Services Assistant (ATSA). This is a full time opportunity working within a challenging, but rewarding role.
Role Overview
- The Air Traffic Services Assistants (ATSAs) will support the Air Traffic Control Management in the day-to-day function of the Bournemouth Air Traffic Control Unit, to ensure the provision of a safe and efficient operation, in accordance with regulatory requirements and the Airport’s standards and practices.
- ATSAs are responsible and accountable to the Manager Air Traffic Services for the day-to-day function of the Bournemouth ATC Unit. 2.
Overview of Responsibilities
- Provide effective and timely support, during the course of their duty hours, to the nominated person responsible for the delivery of a safe and effective Air Traffic service.
- Working as part of the operational team to support the day-to-day function of the Air Traffic Unit, in any way possible, to ensure delivery of an efficient, safe and professional operation.
- Display flexibility towards the requirements of the Unit to deliver adequate attendance and operational capability.
- Display co-operation and a pragmatic attitude towards change; participate in reviews and projects to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency or reduce costs, without detriment to safety.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge and compliance with the relevant Airport and Unit documentation, instructions and requirements.
- Assist in the delivery of all relevant elements of the ANS Management System; undertaking associated tasks to meet regulatory compliance within the ANSP Certification requirements and the Airport’s Compliance Management processes.
- Liaising with based operators to identify potential improvements to the ATC service, address issues of compliance and promote an effective working relationship with all users.
- Undertaking additional tasks as assigned by the Unit Management; contributing to the development of the ATC function towards the delivery of the Business Plan and identifying opportunity to achieve optimum commercial success.
- Delivery of a high level of customer service; identify and act to eliminate risks associated with the ATC function.
- Participating in the delivery of environmental matters to meet legislative compliance
