We’re looking for an exceptional Bar Operations Manager to join our Sky Garden team, overseeing Sky Pod and City Garden Bars.
At the top of the ‘Walkie Talkie’ building, Sky Garden’s Bars transform post-6pm into London’s premier late night venue with an extensive cocktail list, live music, DJ sets, events and the best 360 views of London and beyond.
As Bar Operations Manager you'll oversee the late-night operation of two outlets with a team of 50 staff (and six excellent managers). You'll ensure our team deliver the highest level of service for thousands of guests, night after night.
The Bar Operations Manager will need to EMBODY and be the FACE of our late night business – approachable, hands-on, not afraid to jump behind the bar or the welcome desk if need be and deal with challenges (being atop a skyscraper, there may be a few…) as and when they arise. Proactive as they come, you’ll have the initiative to OWN it.
You’ll need to have a solid commercial awareness but be a charismatic and inspirational leader who is happy to lead from the front.
Not to mention strong with admin – rotas, payroll, H&S – as well as service and team training.
You’ll have the support of our Bars General Manager and Deputy Director to help you on your way.
The ideal person will need to be running a busy, late night operation as a minimum right now – somewhere loud, with high volume, high intensity and of course, high standards are what we are looking for.
We may be stating the obvious, but this role will be late nights – 5pm onwards, into the earlier hours. This is not a 9-5 and not for everyone. However, if this is your thing, and want to work with the best, we’d love to hear from you.
