Job description
You will be responsible for the investigation process for employee relations issues within the Trust according to Policy and Procedure. You will be expected to take the lead for investigations of cases, including those which are of extreme complexity, sensitivity, and contention.
- You will carry out investigations and ensure timely reports are completed.
- You will be responsible for advising on any recommendations or lessons learnt for the Trust.
- You may be asked, subject to capacity, to investigate complaints and serious incidents
- Manage the process of the investigation of employee relations issues and provide a report of their findings.
- Investigate complex complaints and serious incidents (SI’s) where appropriate.
- Investigate employee relations issues within agreed deadlines.
- Responsible for providing reports to the appropriate Commissioning Manager
- Ensure that all documents / case files pertaining to employee relations issues are secured in a safe and confidential manner.
- Ensure all reports produced are of a high standard.
- Attend hearings as a presenting manager or a witness and respond confidently and knowledgably to questions.
- Attend Employment Tribunals as a witness and respond in a professional manner.
- Recommend changes in practice and procedure to reduce the risk of repeated incidents.
- Provide high quality training in investigations.
- Attendance at meetings with other agencies where there is a safeguarding concern, to establish the process for the investigation and ensure regular communication around progress.
- Arrange pre-investigation meetings to establish the scope of the investigation, any concurrent investigations, terms of reference, roles and responsibilities, and investigation process.
