The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. Based within NDPH, The China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) Study is a uniquely rich and powerful global resource for investigating the environmental and genetic determinants of common chronic diseases.
We are looking for a Data Analyst to support epidemiologists, geneticists, clinicians and statisticians in analysing data from the CKB. The main responsibilities involve processing, validating, integrating and managing vast amounts of complex data. In addition the post will also support the documentation of user requirements for the IT systems used or to be developed in CKB in relation to data handling and processing.
To be considered for the Grade 7 Data Analyst role, you will need to have a BSc in a scientific or numerate subject and have substantial experience in data analysis. You will also have experience of data management using large and complex relational databases and experience of writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
