AWS Cloud Engineer
Location - UK Remote

This is a mobile role and, hence, may be required to work for short periods in any location in the UK as proposal or programme requires.
Pre-existing security clearance may be beneficial but is not a requirement.
The preferred candidate will demonstrate effective application of Infrastructure & Cloud expertise and extensive knowledge across a variety of technologies such as AWS and Microsoft Azure Cloud Platforms, Microsoft Windows Server Environments, Virtualized Environments, Microsoft Stack Technologies, Networking Technologies and Data Storage Technologies. A keen interest or experience in supporting environments operating under DevOps methodologies would be advantageous.
Your passions and experience will help you become a technical specialist and process owner for our business, including service improvements, and add further value to our service offerings. You will be expected to contribute towards the creation and ongoing maintenance of technical documentation and provide material to support the Project work or the Operational Support service.
Skills and Experience:
AWS building infrastructures by integrating cloud native services with third party products
Experience of DevOps concepts and experience of deploying CI/CD pipelines using cloud native and third party tools
Strong understanding of containers (Docker or similar) and container orchestration (Kubernetes - including cloud managed Kubernetes services)
Public Sector experience in cloud deployment or migration
Experience of using the Atlassian suite of tools (JIRA, Confluence)
Experience of planning or delivering cloud migration or transformation projects in both green field and brownfield environments
Experience of Window Server (and associated services DNS, DHCP, GPO, etc) and Linux OS
Strong appreciation of security best practices
Desirable skills/experience:
Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
Azure or Google Cloud experience
Traditional Infrastructure and networking experience
Software Defined Networking Experience
Cert such as:
AWS Certified Architect Associate
MS Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
MS Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Associate
