Associate Banker
Newcastle
As a Barclays Associate Banker, you will get an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of one or more relationship managed portfolios across UK Corporate Banking. Your accountabilities will include closely working with one or more Bankers and/or Associate Bankers to delight customers and maximise overall satisfaction & advocacy. In your role, you will develop a solid foundation in Corporate Banking knowledge and skills that will form a key step in the career path to becoming a Corporate Banker.

- Upholding proactive development & maintenance with new & existing client relationships; assisting in the delivery of good outcomes for clients and the business
- Improving solid Client Satisfaction scores by providing exceptional service – deepening your solid grasp of clients and their needs
- Developing a working knowledge of key Corporate Banking products applicable to your segment
- Assisting in client meeting preparation and attending meetings with Bankers where appropriate
- Ensuring servicing activity is directed towards the appropriate contact point and educating clients to use the correct servicing channels
- Helping with the creation of the portfolio contact strategy, including input into Client Account Plans
- Participating fully in Relationship Team planning (cell) meetings
- Undertaking timely Client Service Reviews and maintaining accurate client records in Salesforce
- Ability to deliver results through building relationships
- Excellent customer relationships and internal network relationships
- Experience in client service and communication
- Solid planning and organisational skills
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Awareness of business/personal customer solutions, knowledge of credit risk processes and policy
- Be qualified or working towards Professional Study Qualifications e.g., IFS
- Knowledge of control environment and AML risk
- Familiarity with Corporate Banking
