About Alternative Routes #Cashback
Our new service, funded by Cash Back for Communities, will work in partnership with Dumfries & Galloway Council and other community partners to provide alternative routes to young people aged 10 to 25 who are involved with or at risk of becoming involved with the criminal justice system. Our service will take a whole system approach and provide support through street work and group sessions within our community hubs in Dumfries, Annan and Stranraer. We will follow a whole family, whole community approach to ensure our young people and have increased opportunities to achieve their goals.
What we are looking for....
We are looking to recruit an Assistant Service Manager to join our new Alternative Routes #Cashback Service who will work 30 hours per week in either Dumfries or Stranraer. This post is offered on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2026 and is funded by CashBack for Communities. We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring our young people live their best lives and have opportunities to develop and grow. We are looking for someone who will contribute to the leadership, management and development of the service for children, young people and their families in line with agreed objectives and assist with service review and evaluation. You will hold a caseload and work alongside families, empowering them to lead positive change in their own lives.
We are looking for candidates who are experienced in working alongside vulnerable families to assess strengths and needs as well as plan, deliver and evaluate interventions and strategies which enable families to thrive. You will have experience of child and adult protection issues. You Ideally you will hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 8 or above, together with relevant experience of working directly with children or young people and their families.
