Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Shawbury

The package: £11-£14PH + Overtime rate

Hours: Monday- Friday 40 hours per week

Darwin Group LTD is the UK’s leading modular construction provider for the Healthcare Sector, providing unique design and build projects that are delivered in half the time associated with traditional construction. We offer a complete turnkey solution, owning all stages of the design and build process through our in-house team of more than 150 Design and Construction specialists.

When working within our offsite construction facility in Shawbury you will be part of a team responsible for:

  • Construction of our bespoke module design
  • Steel/timber frame construction
  • Drylining
  • Timber/steel joist installation and floor substrate
  • Maintaining programme

When working on one of our nationwide sites you will be part of a team that is responsible for:

  • Installation and commissioning of modular buildings
  • Steel erection
  • External cladding
  • Site specific 1st fix carpentry works
  • Maintaining programme

All tools, PPE, and equipment are supplied by Darwin Group. Darwin Group also supply vans/vehicles, hotels and a subsistence allowance of £22.50 per day when working onsite. You will be paid for the time you travel to and from sites.

Requirements and skills for the role

  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Relevant knowledge of construction
  • Experience of using hand/power tools
  • Good time keeping
  • Strong work ethic
  • Good communication skills
