Mantle Psychology is an expanding and thriving assessment and therapy business based in the centre of Holmfirth, Huddersfield. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated
Assistant Psychologist to join our child and adult neurodevelopmental and therapy team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growing business and to develop your clinical skills, under the supervision of our experienced clinical psychologists and other professionals. The candidate will need to be able to manage their workload and, as this is a newly developed role, they will need to be able to show initiative and good organisational skills. They will need to have experience working with clients clinically, and a good understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions. The successful candidate will have a degree in Psychology (ideally recognised by the British Psychological Society), relevant experience, and a passion for working clinically with adults and children.
You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team and may be involved with:
- carrying out neuropsychological assessments
- contributing to multidisciplinary discussions about a client's diagnosis, treatment, risk assessment and care plan issues
- undertaking specified behavioural observations and assessments in clinic and schools
- seeking and acquiring specific information by reading notes, investigating histories, developing comprehensive plans, etc
- carrying out specified treatment and intervention programmes with clients or groups of clients
- working with client's carers, relatives and others involved in their care including schools.

To succeed as our Assistant Psychologist, you will have:

- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding and knowledge of applying psychology theory
- The ability to use your initiative, be organised, and be personable.
