Job description
PLEASE REFER TO THE ATTACHED JOB DESCRIPTION FOR FULL DUTIES OF THE ROLE. To undertake specific skilled support work to aid the Physiotherapy team in the efficient and effective delivery of Physical Rehabilitation to patients within speciality area within the framework of clinical governance To work as part of the physiotherapy team providing high quality, effective and efficient rehabilitation to patients within an identified speciality area. To accept patients triaged or referred by a physiotherapist and responsible for their own patient caseload. Work unsupervised, to assess, treat, progress and discharge patients aligned to protocol, and inform physiotherapist of any problems.
To provide personalised self-condition management programmes. To coordinate, supervise and teach junior therapy assistants To adhere to all Trust policies and procedures as they pertain to personnel, health & safety and safeguarding needs. To participate in continuing professional development under the guidance of a physiotherapist. To maintain communication with the patient, the carer and associated professional practitioners, and refer onward to other agencies as needed.
To maintain up to date electronic medical records and document clinical outcomes.
