Job description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
A key member of the Research & Innovation Directorate finance team, you
will have reporting responsibility for specific, complex research areas and will assist with the provision of a professional financial management service to stakeholders across Health, Academia and Industry. You will be competent in the management of financial information, financial reporting, budgetary control processes and governance arrangements. Ideally degree/HND qualified in accountancy (or with equivalent work experience) you will have excellent IT skills, good communication skills and the ability to use initiative and deliver to strict timelines while dealing diplomatically with staff and researchers at all levels.
