LADIESWEAR ASSISTANT DESIGNER
YOUNG LADIESWEAR (ASOS AND RIVER ISLAND ACCOUNTS)
LEICESTER
UP TO £27K
Our client a highly successful young ladies fashion supplier to the global online retailers and high street retailers are looking to recruit a talented and ambitious Assistant young Ladieswear Designer to join their rapidly growing team based in Leicester supporting the senior /head designers . The successful candidate will be talented, creative, enthusiastic and a highly motivated individual who is on trend to work within in a fast moving environment within a young ladies fashion industry and must demonstrate a strong commercial ladieswear portfolio for this role, have at least 1 + years experience and looking to join a very well established and highly successful fashion supplier. .
Your Responsibilities include but not limited to
Liaising directly with the senior designer and account managers and buying teams
Working on the ASOS and River Island Accounts
Assisting with designing multi product young ladieswear across multi products, jersey/woven etc
Creating and updating initial CAD’s and basic tech packs
Complete competitor research and analysis
Ensuring all designs, artwork and lab dips go through the relevant approval channels, both internally and externally
Operating within the given design calendar critical path
Departmental administration, updating product coding information frequently
Staying up to date with industry trends, presenting to the directors and senior designers
Skills, qualifications and experience required

- Degree in Fashion Design/Clothing Design and technology - have a creative and up to date ladieswear commercial portfolio relating to ASOS /RIVER ISLANDS)
- Must be an enthusiastic, proactive and creative.
- Relevant industry experience is a must.(At least 1 + year) ladieswear
- Must be fully computer literate
- Strong communication and internal liaison skills at all levels
