Salary: L1-L6 £44,305 - £50,122
Hours: 40 hours per week – Term Time Only

The main purpose of the role:
This role will provide the vision, strategic direction and leadership for attendance, behaviour, inclusion and reintegration. Working supportively with the Principal, Head of School and Senior Leadership Team in; ensuring high levels of welfare, engagement and behaviour from students, working effectively with external stakeholders, leading staff, and working strategically to move the school forward successfully.
Key duties:
- Leadership and Management – As a member of the senior leadership team (SLT) you would work collaboratively with the Head of school and senior colleagues in accordance with shared values to contribute to improvement plans and desired outcomes.
- Teaching and Learning – Lead teaching and learning to support the achievement of students, taking specific responsibility for PHSE and Life Skills.
- Behaviour and Attendance – Lead these key areas within the school in order to support the achievement of students, taking specific responsibility for whole school monitoring and interventions that generate measurable improvements.
- Safeguarding – to act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) ensuring the school is compliant with all statutory responsibilities and that staff receive the appropriate training and supervision.
- Community – Promote and model excellent relationships with parents and carers. Ensure the relationships are based on mutually supportive partnerships to improve pupils’ learning, engagement, and achievement.
Responsibilities:
Skills and experience required:
- Proven Leadership experience within a school environment.
- Relevant and recent experience within SEMH and/or ASC education provision
- Qualified Teacher status (QTLS or QTS)
- Experience and/or recent training as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Demonstrate their desire to place children and young people at the centre of all they do
- Positive attitude
- Work creatively
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent ICT skills
