South East London Integrated Care Board is looking to recruit a dedicated, well-organised and proactive Assistant Commissioning Manager to join our Integrated Urgent and Emergency Care Commissioning Team. As an Assistant Commissioning Manager, you will have a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of 111 Integrated Urgent Care and 999 functions across South East London. Reporting to the Commissioning Manager 111/999, you will provide support to various streams of work within the Commissioning Team. Your responsibilities will encompass developing new pathways for patients to access via 111 and 999, including supporting the setup of direct booking arrangements; following up any issues reported by 999 with accessing downstream services; working with the BI team to ensure the team’s analytical needs are met; supporting contract management, clinical governance and service redesign. We are looking for someone with: Prior experience in administrative/project support/project management roles, preferably within healthcare or commissioning environments. Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records. Demonstrated capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Understanding of NHS and commissioning processes (desirable but not essential). The Assistant Commissioning Manager (111/999) works across south east London (SEL) and provides administrative and programme support to the overall day-to-day management of the 111 Integrated Urgent Care (111 IUC) service and 999 ambulance functions across SEL. The post holder acts as a conduit between the local borough-based teams, local providers and the 111 IUC and 999 services; and manages the interdependencies between all parties. The post holder will provide support to the contract and performance management of the 111 IUC service and help facilitate the delivery of the evolution of the urgent and emergency care system across SEL. The post holder will also help manage the 999-ambulance service programme of work on behalf of SEL which includes contract monitoring, pathway development, demand management schemes and CQUIN oversight. This work involves close working with the north west London (NWL) London Ambulance Service (LAS) Commissioning team. The post holder will need to provide administrative and project support to the pan London 111 IUC governance structure and the 111 and 999 governance structures in SEL including, but not limited to, the 111 IUC Quality and Safety Committee, contract management meetings and various task and finish groups. Additionally, the post holder will be required to provide project management support (e.g., maintenance of project plans, risk and issue logs), clinical governance support (e.g., collation of monthly clinical governance data submissions from various providers) and contract management support (e.g., drafting of performance letters). Furthermore, the post holder will be required to: Support pathway improvements within the 111 IUC and LAS 999 services to streamline the patient journey. Support the review and development of new and existing Alternative Care Pathways (ACPs). Project Manage the roll out of the agreed 111 and 999 pathways across SEL. Follow up MiDoS feedback with the relevant commissioners/providers and take appropriate action. Support the addition of new services onto the Directory of Services (DoS) including the set-up of direct booking Support the redesign of the SEL 111 IUC service and its reprocurement. The Assistant Commissioning Manager (111/999) will report to the Commissioning Manager (111/999) within the Planning Directorate.
