Where you’ll work Nunthorpe Oaks is located near the village of Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough. Our dedicated team provide a range of care and support including residential and respite care for up to 54 residents. Nunthorpe Oaks overlooks the beautiful garden which is complete with raised flower beds and a vegetable patch for our residents who like to do a spot of light gardening. We offer a hairdressing salon where residents are able to enjoy being pampered with manicures and hand massages. We also have regular activities to include our baking club, flower arranging and arts and crafts. Are you our next Assistant Chef? Here’s more about the role: We are looking for an Assistant Chef who will work with the Chef Manager, to prepare a varied set of quality menus for our residents You will promote and monitor food hygiene and safety standards, carry out risk assessments and clean the kitchen to a high standard You will have daily interaction with residents, visitors and colleagues; therefore we are looking for someone who is friendly, approachable and passionate Experience of working within a catering environment and a valid food hygiene certificate is required.
